Professor Youngjin Yoo was honored as faculty of the game during the Temple Owls homecoming game on October 19, 2013 in front of about 25,000 fans.
Dr. Yoo is Irwin L. Gross Senior Research Fellow and the Director of Center for Design+Innovation. The recipient of more than $3.5 million dollars in research funding, Dr. Yoo has worked with internationally recognized companies including Samsung Electronics, American Greetings, Moen, NASA and Anderson Consulting. His research interests include digital innovation, design, and experiential computing. He was appointed senior editor of MISQ (the number 1 journal in MIS) in May 2013.
Professor Yoo’s most recent research includes a project with Ola Henfridsson titled “The Liminality of Trajectory Shifts in Institutional Entrepreneurship” which was just accepted for publication in Organization Science. The paper is a field study of 8 years of working with Saab in their attempts to integrate Android in their car.
